ICEF will present the winner with a plaque commemorating the award and $3,000 at the ICEF/CICI Annual Scholarship Luncheon. ICEF/CICI may ask you, as the Davidson Award winner, to participate in an ICEF/CICI event in the year.

Delmar Davis (1926-2019) who not only taught woodshop and other industrial arts (CTE) courses at PCHS from 1953 to 1985, but also served as chairman of the Industrial Arts department prior to his retirement. Delmar, an avid golfer, also coached PCHS' golf team. The annual $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving graduate(s) of PCHS who wishes to further his/her education in industrial arts or teaching fields and may be used for trade school or college. Recipients are welcome to reapply for the scholarship in subsequent years.

Last year, they made more than $1 billion in cash tuition and college-granted scholarships available nationally. Scholarships are available in two ways: cash tuition scholarships (which can be used at any accredited institution of higher learning) and college-granted scholarships (over 100 colleges and universities offer scholarships to program participants – several scholarships are available just for taking part in a local or state program!)

43	Pekin Area	North Pekin-Marquette Heights School District 102, Can be a Mid-Term Graduate	Enhance the Future	1/25/23	3/24/23	Application Available Here	The Enhance the Future Scholarship is for Pekin High School seniors who graduate this school year (mid-year or end-of-year) who attended North Pekin-Marquette Heights School District 102 for, at least, six (6) years and who will be attending an accredited college, university or trade school. Students who attended District 102 Schools who still live within the District 102 boundaries, but will be graduating from a different high school may still apply for consideration. This scholarship is an ongoing project originally established by Mr. David Perkins, a retired District 102 teacher. This is a $500 scholarship.
44	Pekin Area		Elks Club's "Most Valuable Student" Scholarship	8/17/22	11/14/22	https://www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/MVS.cfm	The Pekin Elks Lodge #1271 and the Elks National Foundation sponsor the "Most Valuable Student" Scholarship for interested seniors planning to attend college or university next Fall. The MVS is open to young men and women graduating from high school the Spring of 2023, or the equivalent thereof, who are also US citizens, and who are planning to attend a college or university next Fall. The Elks National Foundation (ENF) awards scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need. National awards range from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year. The national awards will be announced in April 2023.

She provided for all learners an engaging classroom full of hands-on life science activities which inspired many of her students to become science teachers themselves. Her friends and loved ones wish to continue her legacy through this scholarship to deserving graduate(s) of PCHS who will pursue a career in science education and/or a career within the life sciences.

In 2022, the Illinois Chapter gave out over $15,000 to incoming students in scholarships. In 2023, we plan to give out more depending upon a qualified pool of candidates. Scholarships range from $500-$4,000.

The recipients of this scholarship must demonstrate a strong desire to achieve future success in their educational program of study, a commitment to community service and/or involvement, and financial need. Each recipient will receive $1,000 one-time award.

Sponsored by chemical manudacturers and related industry stakeholders, FOSSI provides scholarship recipients $10,000 per year for four years.

Any senior interested in education in Illinois can apply. The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois is a scholarship program that identifies talented high school seniors, as well as first and second-year college students who have the promise and drive to be excellent teachers in high-need schools. The program is more than a scholarship program that only awards funding. They provide four years of residential summer institutes, providing on-site classroom experience, as well as mentoring from a Golden Apple teacher.
