Cell phoneMandatory. You won't be able to scan through outdoor CheckPoints without a working phone with cellular service (make sure battery can survive duration of event). Failure to scan through a CheckPoint results in a DQ

WaterPlan to be self sufficient and remember that uninsulated water freezes! There are a few 24 food stores (e.g. 7-Eleven, Tim Horton's) close to the race route where you may be able to replenish water but you can also arrange for a friend to meet you on course with more water, but PLAN TO BE SELF SUFFICIENT
