Each Local Association President is required to complete an annual report. The information provided will be

used to determine the annual CSMTA Local Association of the Year Award, which will be presented a the

Local Association Luncheon during the CSMTA Conference. The association chosen as CSMTA Local

Association of the Year will be eligible to submit an application to MTNA for the National Association of the
7
Year, which offers a cash award.

Yes.  Teachers may apply by June 1 any year for an educational grant.  Most years we grant $100-$300 depending on the number of applicants and type of programs requested

Yes, we usually have one program a year that provides an update on technology. We also have members share the way they use technology in their studios through our monthly Teaching Moments.

This award is for a teacher who has given many years in service to SSMTA, served on the Board or chaired committees and in any way gone above and beyond to help our organization. We give a plaque and a generous gift card.

We announce regulary local groups doing concerts.  Have several members who are involved in orchestras, choirs, etc.

We donate $150 annually to the Colorado Symphony. We hold our Halloween Recital at Whole Foods. We have a duo piano group that holds recitals that are free to the community, but we do encourage donations of food that are given to local food banks. We occasionally hold food drives at our recitals as well.
