5/21/21Stefanie Sielaff1. Since the School Board is required to evaluate their superintendent once a year, as a tax payer and parent of students in the district, I would like to see the evaluation that warranted two raises. What were the specific items that warranted raises? We lost 2000+ students, we had to unnecessarily quarantine countless others, our children are not allowed to be mask-free at any point during the day. Does this count against his evaluation? If not- why not? Board, what is your plan on addressing this?
2. I want an understanding of how people register to speak at the June 14th in person board meeting? Can they just show up that night? Will they limit the number of attendees? Can people bring signs? Are masks required or not required if vaccinated ? When and where are the details being released? The agenda should be posted in public platforms, such as board member and district Facebook pages, along with instructions on how to sign up to speak. Not sharing this information sends the message to the community that feedback and community voice is not important.
3. Please clarify quarantining and share publicly the documents and information that the “mysterious covid board of GBAPS” is reviewing. Is there a public place it is saved? If not- why not?
4. What are the administration's 30/60/90 day action plans to work towards ending quarantining and masking? Is the administration still optimistically hopeful for five days in person next year that they aren’t even looking at anything else? Is this ok with the board members? How about the families of the district?
