Note from wares, March 2022: We have put the forms on pause for a while, and we should have also removed contact details from the sheets as well.
That is now done. The listings exist for the time being as an archive. Through the initiative and actions of many people working together, this project has helped many people with direct aid, much more than it was ever intended to. But it has also become unsustainable, without good ways of addressing individual fatigue, structural crisis, manipulation and abuse, lack of collective capacities, and deference to authority and the dominant logics of charity. We want to try better because we believe in interdependence, solidarity, and mutual aid and care as ways to counter the violence of capitalism in the present. The pandemic is not over, and the crisis is still everyday, but for now we are in a prolonged period of rethinking methods and actions. If you have an existing network, please continue to check in with and look after one another, while not denying space for yourself too. We hope to be back with new ideas when we are better able to do so.
Take care, with love and solidarity.
This spreadsheet is a simple system to help connect individuals or groups of people in Singapore who have needs and offers for support. We hope that it would go beyond this moment of emergency, and encourage people to form lasting relationships for mutual aid, interdependent care, and community solidarity with recognition that the crisis is longer and deeper than the pandemic.
These forms and sheet are only in English for now. We urge you to get organised into localised pods or affinity groups with each other – look out especially for those who have accessibility needs or require labour and assistance in following up with listings.
Note that we do not ourselves as a group collect or distribute money in this mutual aid project. We do not have a bank account, paypal, paynow, or paylah. Read on for notes on safety.
There are two forms linked below – one for Needs, and another for Offers – built around basic asking and sharing. When filled up and submitted, responses are listed back here in this sheet for coordination. Anyone is free to view these listings in the corresponding tabs (bottom or above depending on device) and initiate contact based on what you need or can offer. Have a look at the Guide tab too to orientate yourself to the listings.

Please remember that this is a publicly accessible document, so only submit information you feel comfortable sharing. If you would like us to act as a proxy, remember to let us know:
This also means if you're trying to get in touch with someone using our email as their contact, please remember to mention the person's name.
Keep the edit link after submission so you can return to update your status. If you have sent anything in error and would like to completely remove it, email us.
We go into these and more in both forms above.
We facilitate this tool but can't ensure that everything everyone says is true. We all find out through relating, so get talking and chatting, learn and share about life, listen with patience, feel, build trust. You should take steps you feel are necessary to ensure safety in contacting and meeting strangers, as well as in making funds transfers, and verify information through documents (we are doing this for listings added after 6 June) where you can without being invasive or demanding. Do not proceed further if you are uncomfortable with an interaction or do not have enough information. The information you pass on affects how others interact as well.
