Objective:The purpose of this file is to provide access to the subset of the Equable Retirement Security Report Database used for the RSR.

Organization:These data consist of the RSR scores for each of the teacher plans and are organized in one tab. The separate source files are available in the Github repository linked on the Equable website.

These data only include the raw RSR scores for each class of teacher benefits. For the data supporting the graphics, please contact Equable using the email addresses provided below under "Additional Data."

Data Sources:The source benefit data were drawn from the following sources:

1)All retirement plan benefit data are drawn from plan documents, specifically, actuarial valuation reports, ACFRs, and plan member handbooks. They can be accessed via Equable's Benefit Database.

All RSR scores are produced by Equable using our benefit models and RSR scoring metrics. The scripts and source files used to produce these scores are available in the Github repository linked on the Equable website.

Notes:Please note that as of the time of compilation, the most available data for many plans was still from FY 2025. As such, these results are based on the most current benefit data as of 2025.

Note that Equable will periodically update of our full Retirement Security Report database when new tiers of benefits are identified, created, or introduced.

Scaling:Note that all variables report scores, percentages of available points scored, or text based on the percentage of available points scored. For further details for each variable, please see the "Codebook" tab.
