The Hate U Give, the film based on Angie Thomas' best selling novel, will be released this week. This film looks great, is rated PG-13 and we are excited to see it-want to join? Join us at the Cherry Blossom 14 AMC Theater for the Sunday, October 28 3:40 pm showing. This invitation is open to ALL Glen Lake students in grades 7-12, families and staff. We encourage you to purchase tickets on line ahead of time. Afterwards, please join us for a discussion group and snacks at Lucky's Market. Friends and family welcome!

Jostens will be here Friday, 10/26 during lunch to collect sophomore class ring orders and senior graduation orders.

The Cedar Maple City Lions Club is looking for volunteers to dress up and scare people at their Hallwoeen Scare House. Dates are 10/19, 10/20, 10/26, 10/27 from 6-10 pm and 10/31 from 5-9pm Contact Sandy Galla at 231-590-0403 for more details/to sign up.

The Glen Arbor pumpkin festival on October 20th is in need of NHS or other volunteers (this counts for NHS sponsored time). Volunteers are needed to help set up (9am), games for the festival, (12n-3pm), and breakdown after the festival (3-4pm). See Mrs Richard ASAP if interested or call Connie Kroll at 231-929-7900

All current NHS members and NEW members need to attend a meeting in room 407, at lunch, on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018. This meeting is required by ALL NHS members. See Mrs. Richard if you have questions.

NMC IN THE SPRING. All students intending to dual enroll at NMC this coming Spring Term 2019. Jason Smith, International/Domestic Recruiter & Advisor will be here this Thursday, October 18th and Monday, October 22nd to help students prepare for registration that opens Wenesday, October 24th. Have your questions answered and prepare to get the classes you want/need.

Attention Senior Student-Athletes => The MHSAA's Scholar-Athlete application window is now open. Students are encouraged to apply as 32 $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. Go to https://mhsaa.com/scholarship to start the application process. You will need an Access Code => See or email Mrs. Stein or Mr. Mattson in the Athletic Office to obtain the Code. The deadline for application submission is November 30, at 4:00 PM.

Love ART? There will be middle school after school Art club on Wednesdays starting in November. You can ride a GL bus to the Glen Arbor Art s Center. For more information see either Mrs. Walker or Mrs. Onthank. There is a permission slip required before you can start.
