" -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 90 | Medium | Medium-Full | "Upon lighting, and after three puffs, I have an urge for a cappuccino made with whole milk. The flavors are thick and rich espresso and cream. Sadly, the retrohale is fiery and out of balance with heavy black pepper notes and a slight astringent note. At the moment it is hard to recommend this to someone cause of that bitter finish. I love the size and hoped for a little more. Oh well… | 70
91 | 6/1/2022 7:18:26 | Doug S. (Unpossible_1) | 1273 | Fair | This is one dark cigar. Reminds me of the Ghirardelli Intense Dark Chocolates. It also has that rough feeling to it as well. | Very Good | Much like the appearance, the aroma has a distinct dark chocolate and barnyard combo that lets me know this is not going to be a morning cigar. | Fair | Medium | Medium | As I light it, the first thing that hits me is red pepper and barnyard and copious amounts of smoke coming from the toasted foot. | Good | Medium-Strong | Medium-Full | That red pepper is still churning full throttle as the second third hits. What’s interesting is that the retro brings about that bitter dark chocolate and sweetness. | Good | Medium-Strong | Medium-Full | Cigar is firing on all cylinders now, as notes of dark chocolate and red pepper dominate across the board. Fairly simplistic but the notes are prominent enough to keep my attention. | Subpar | Even with a v-cut, the draw is a bit more open than I care to have which is interesting given the size. | Fair | Uneven but holds up enough to resist needing touch ups. | Good | With the exception of the open draw, this cigar was well made and held together nicely the entire time. I did not have any soft spots and the burn was also decent enough. | Good | The aroma of dark chocolate and barnyard let me know from the get go that this cigar wasn't going to play around. That first blast of red pepper just confirmed it. While not overly complex, this cigar was still enjoyable enough as the notes were quite prominent through the entire duration. I would also point out that I did not have issues with it staying lit, which can be a problem for me when smoking smaller ring gauges. You really have to be attentive with them. This was not the case here, which made me happy. I'd definitely revisit this again some time, given the chance. | 75
92 | 6/1/2022 11:22:28 | Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 1273 | Good | This cigar has what I would consider an average look. The wrapper was a nicely uniform dark color. Most veins were small but there were a couple protrusions from the binder. The cap wasn't great, but functional. | Very Good | There was a good variety of aromas from this cigar including milk chocolate, damp barnyard, and sweet earth. | Great | Medium | Medium-Full | This cigar kicked off with a great cafe mocha flavor. Right off the bat the cigar presented a rather full body. There were tastes of dry chocolate powder, and tiramisu. | Great | Medium | Medium-Full | The second third brought on a lot of the same flavors, though still different in taste. I picked out espresso beans and dark chocolate. There was just a bit of wood in the retrohale. On occasion I thought I noticed something like lemon zest but it was quite fleeting. | Great | Medium | Medium-Full | Things really came to a great finally in the end. I picked up flavors of chocolate covered coffee beans, baker's cocoa, and even a bit of rocky road ice cream. | Close to perfect | I couldn't ask for a more perfect draw. | Great | The burn was great from start to finish. It was never a razor fine burn, but it didn't require any type of attention either. | Very Good | While the cigar might have had an average appearance, it performed wonderfully. | Excellent | This cigar was prove positive that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. The theme when it came to flavor was coffee and chocolate and each were presented in a variety of different forms. I am looking forward to enjoying this one again. | 85
