Strategy Alignment - These will be the lanes on your roadmap that align with your overall strategy. You may adjust these drop down values to make either your overall strategy or the areas in which you are trying to balance on your roadmap.This view will show your projects organized by statusFor projects to appear in the timeline view, simply go to the list view tab and enter start and end dates. Projects with these dates will automatically appear in the timeline on the Timeline View tab.

Level of Effort (LOE) - The options here are from the fibonacci sequence: 1,2,3,5,8,13,20. Using these numbers to idenfity the LOE will help to calculate the business value that can be delivered based on effort. Items with an LOE of 1 are the smallest projects that require very little time and effort. Projects with an LOE of 20 are the largest projects consuming considerable resources. For high impact projects with a high LOE, we recommend strategically breaking down the project into the MVP and subsequent phases as best as possible to maintain the initial high impact and reduce the LOE.Grouped by Strategic Alignment

Risk Reduction - The options here are from the fibonacci sequence: 1,2,3,5,8,13,20 with 1 being the least amount of risk and 20 being the highest. Think of the risk of if the project is NOT done. Examples include: Competitors will take more market share, technical debt increasing, etc

Time Criticality - The options here are from the fibonacci sequence: 1,2,3,5,8,13,20 with 1 being the least critical and 20 being the most critical. What is the urgency in completing this project? That may be based on competitors, software updates, etc

Planned Start & End Dates - This should be organized in the same way in which you organize your roadmap (by months, quarters, program increments, etc).

Value Delivery - This is a calculation from the Scaled Agile methodology known as Weighted Shortest Job First. This calculation considers the LOE, impact, risk, and time criticality of each project to determine which projects will determine the most business value as compared to the effort required. Sorting this column from highest value to lowest will show the order in which to complete projects for the most business value.
