Aviation & AerospaceWe want to start a clbu for students interested in aviation and aerospace. It does not just have to be students interested in careers in those fields, students who like traveling and/or space are welcome to join. The club will be a place for students to explore these topics and develop a stronger passion for them while also building community around shared interests. A few ideas we have come up with are watching films/documentaries related to these topics, discussing different career paths for aviation and aerospace, and conducting simple aerodynamic experiments. Black Student Union ClubThe Black Student Union is a school-wide club involving the African-American community of Lake Norman Charter–Our mission as leaders is striving to connect our community when dealing with hardships as a small minority. We host meetings discussing micro-aggressions within the LNC community, society, and Black pop culture, and use our club as a safe space for the students of LNC when transitioning into a society in which we are not always accepted. Investing ClubThe Investing Club is where students experience the world of finance and investing through building financial knowledge and improve our critical thinking skills, all while having fun and learning together. We will meet and discuss our strategies on what companies to invest in and which companies are doing well. We will also have a competition on who can make the most fake money throughout the year starting with 10,000 dollars and in addition to that, we will play a game called "Build Your Stax" in which we will practice on how to invest and spot trends in the market in which the winner will receive a bonus of 100 dollars to invest. National Art Honor SocietyNAHS will conduct group critiques and presentations about artists, host guest speakers, and require 15 hours of art-related service projects to teach and prepare members for future careers while providing opportunities to strengthen leadership.
