Ideally the AI programs would reflect the values of humans who program them. Presumably these would make it impossible for the AI to cause harm to humans. Isaac Asimov wrote about this in his novels years ago such as I Robot.
AI development does require careful consideration of what exactly is being programmed in.

AI could emulate human music, but it will not be created by emotions. Therefore it may be popular at some point, but it will never be superior.

I believe those are the people most qualified to evaluate the risk, and if they put the risk at 5% or so, I believe them.
5% may seem like a substantial risk to some people, but I think it is a minimal risk.

It seems very philosphical to me and circular reasoning-that AI will threaten humanity because people making this judgment are somehow connected with AI and therefore can't make a rational judgment about it.
The expert opinion is confusing to me.-10011

I think the argument is based off of religious views and wouldn't have much standing in the real world. I don't believe that AI will cause that many issues and I don't think it would become "catastrophic"

I think this argument makes valid points but I do not believe humans will ever allow AI to take over completely. I believe they would intervene if things began to get out of control.
I believe humans should keep a close watch on AI and the development. I believe they should make sure it doesn't begin to get out of control.
