Hilary artist statement
Skela is a visually-oriented creature who extrapolates physical adornment as a necessary extension of the body. She has a jewelry company and fosters a love of power tools and molten hot metal. As a fidgety creature, Skela has a history of lovingly cutting the hair of nearly every roommate she's with which she's ever nested. Her history of manipulating temporal physical extremities is rooted in an adolescent love of sewing, and she finds rhinoceroses to be the most beautiful creatures on earth.
