National Voter CorpsElectoral OrganizationThe National Voter Corps was formed after the 2016 presidential election, in response to widespread concerns about the strength and fairness of our voting system. We are a group of citizens who envision a national voter mobilization effort (starting as early as July 2017), spearheaded by the ACLU, NAACP, Common Cause, the League of Women Voters and others. We plan to register and get out the vote in key states, while communicating to citizens about the importance of registering and meeting ID requirements (if any) for voting in their state. Our long-term goal is to return the American election system to the ideal envied by governments worldwide.votingrightsforallamericans@gmail.comhttp://nationalvotercorps.org/Volunteers for National Voter Corps will help us compile information for our website's 50-state map and voting rights action campaign (with links added daily as we build our database), so that viewers of our website across the country can use it to connect immediately with active voter registration, voter ID and voting rights organizations on the ground in each state. We also work to form links between national and state voting rights organizations, and to educate local citizens about problems related to voting rights and voter suppression legislation.

flippable.orgElectoral OrganizationWhat we do: Our mission is to turn America blue by building a movement to flip seats. To build this movement, we need to radically simplify political action. We focus on state legislature elections—races that play a huge role in national elections but are often overlooked. Information about these races is hard to find, and busy people don’t have the time to sift through it. That’s where we come in. We’ll tell you which races are more important, who’s running, and how you can support them.
info@flippable.orghttps://www.flippable.org/
Volunteer support: We will try and direct volunteers to whichever resource the candidates feel will be useful. Some races will need phone bankers, some candidates will ask volunteers to hold house parties, and all will need social media exposure. Once a Democratic candidate is declared for a race, flippable will provide as much volunteer opportunity information as possible.

In terms of volunteers helping flippable: Keeping up with the most up-to-date information for these races is a challenge. We could use a solid group of volunteers to help us research and update our data!

Sierra Club: Loma Prieta ChapterThe Loma Prieta Chapter is the local face of the national Sierra Club, and as such we offer our 33,000 local members and supporters the opportunity to get involved and actively contribute of their passion, time, talents and skills to "Explore, Enjoy and Protect the Planet" through environmental activism, political work, outdoor adventure, and environmental justice.
Founded by legendary conservationist John Muir in 1892, the Sierra Club is now the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization -- with more than two million members and supporters. Our successes range from protecting millions of acres of wilderness to helping pass the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act. More recently, we've made history by leading the charge to move away from the dirty fossil fuels that cause climate disruption and toward a clean energy economy.
