WELCOME TO ADOPT A FAMILY 2013!!!
2
Thank you so much for contributing to Adopt a Family this year! In 2012 we had nearly 30 families participate to help make a needy Bay-area family's holiday dreams come true! Because of the generosity of last year's participants, this year we decided to adopt two families of three. You do not need to live in San Francisco to contribute. Last year we had donations from people all over the US and one from Australia!

How To Contribute:
5
If you look down at the bottom of this sheet, you'll see two tabs called Family #1 and Family #2. That's where you'll find information on each family and where you can sign up to contribute a gift or gift card. Select the gift that you'd like to contribute, and then write your name in the yellow box next to that gift in the column called Giver.
6
7
If you'd like to contribute cash, your money will go towards any unfufilled gifts. You can send cash via PayPal or by check. If you mail a check, please let me know so I can keep an eye out for it.

Where did you find these families?
27
Adopt a Family is organized by a San Francisco non-profit called Compass Family Services. Compass helps homeless families and families at imminent risk for homelessness to achieve housing stability, family well-being, and self-sufficiency. This year our families are part of the following Compass programs:
30
Family #1 is currently a client of the Compass Family Resource Center (CFRC) (one of seven programs), which seeks to improve child and family well-being and promote healthy family functioning through the provision of a variety of basic and intensive services. The main goal of the program is to strengthen adults in their roles as parents and nurturers and to help them raise healthy, productive children through encouraging purposeful parenting.
31
Family #2 is currently a client of the Rental Assistance Program (RAP), part of the Compass Connecting Point program (one of seven programs), which is the centralized intake and placement center for all families seeking shelter in San Francisco. Under a grant from San Francisco’s Human Services Agency, Connecting Point places families into Compass Family Shelter as well as the city’s other family shelters.
