Founded in 2002 by Nobel Laureate Carl Wieman, the PhET Interactive Simulations project at the University of Colorado Boulder creates free interactive math and science simulations. PhET sims are based on extensive education research and engage students through an intuitive, game-like environment where students learn through exploration and discovery.

Teachers (and parents) have access to simulation-specific tips and video primers, resources for teaching with simulations, and activities shared by our teacher community. In particular, look under the Teacher Resource tab for any simulation to find ready-made, vetted, high-quality lessons.

I then have my classes create art inspired by what they’ve learned or using one time plastic resources. Discovery Education provides lessons by subject or by grade level (all levels). This platform membership is provided to me by MDCPS- Miami Dade County Public Schools.
