Burlington Sailing and Boating Club Membership

Burlington Sailing and Boating Club is a self-help club. We strive to keep club membership at a reasonable cost. In order to assist this, we ask members to contribute their time and skills to perform some functins that enable the club to operate. These tasks can range from carpentry or filling gas tanks to flipping burgers at social events

The Shark Job Jar is dedicated to the Shark Program members. The JOB JAR is a part of the curriculum as it is focused on the members acquiring new skills and making new friends.

In addition to fees each Shark Program Member is required to spend a minimum of 10 hours working on the boats under the guidance of their mentor. This work includes

· Cleaning

· Maintenance

· Stowing the boat for the winter
13
· Preparing the boat for the summer

- Helping with social activities

Volunteer requirements
20
Intermediate Members must complete 10 volunteer hours
21
Senior Members must complete 20 hours and 10 shark volunteer hours
