2024-25
*Create a Response to Intervention (RTI) model for the elementary.
*Create a plan to partner with the community to implement Character Education.
*Post district curriculum on the school website and the dates it was taught in the classroom during the year.
07/01/2023--Select a district-wide formative assessment in at least Math and ELA (NWEA).
08/01/2023--Review the district's Character Education Curriculum and evaluate alternatives. Used Character Strong this year using the IRSG (grant). Counselor will take character lessons back over and return to using Core Essentials and the counselor standards. If the IRSG has money left, we may subscribe to Character Strong for another year as a supplement for the counselor and classroom teachers.
10/01/2023--Research ways to incorporate Character Education into the classroom and curriculum. If we resubscribe to Character Strong, we can train teachers in using the classroom resources to help incorporate character into the lessons.
09/01/2023--Create a quarterly formative assessment calendar (will work with NWEA).

These statements and focus areas were developed by the MSIP6 Committee in meetings with 28 stakeholders on March 21, March 28, April 4, and April 11, 2023 through a review of MSIP6 standards, district data, climate and culture survey responses, and facilitated discussions by FiredUp! Consulting. Stakeholders included students, staff, faculty, administration, school board, parents, community leaders, business owners, and other taxpayers.
