Door issues at Hindrey Road, Tolsford and Shellness RdThere are door issues on Hindrey, Tolsford and Shellness Rd, with doors not locking and/or closing.Hindrey, Tolsford, ShellnessRichard Ellis - Contracts Manager Electrical Team. A walkabout was carried out 27 March with PERA, PGM and Peabody. Many doors are not locking and internal doors on the first floor are not locking or closing. PGM have installed closers at Hindrey Rd, Shellness Rd, Tolsford Rd, and Dalston Lane. The remaining recommended repairs are a mixture of fitting additional maglocks and closers to make doors more secure, and also the replacement of some doors. We are now obtaining secondary quotes and will then carry out consultation with shared owners and leaseholders where necessary. This process will take around 3-4 months and once concluded, the replacement doors will then need to be manufactured. Repairs to be carried out at Atkins Square, Hindrey Rd, Shellness Rd, Tolsford Rd, and Dalston Lane.

Update September 24: An update was sent to PERA on 29 August including a schedule of works to the doors at Hindrey Road. Due to cost a decision has been made to start repairs and upgrades to Hindrey Rd first, as the need is greatest in block. Repairs and Upgrades will subsequently be carried out to Dalston Lane, Tolsford Rd and Shellness Rd.
