Preferred Mentee Skill Level explanation (we chose this naming because any terminology would be twisted around):
Tier 0 - needs to work on basic fundamentals such as spacing, rhythm, etc
Tier 1 - people that know some fundamentals and struggle putting that into practice and have room to improve
Tier 2 - knows most fundamentals but needs work on finetuning and more advanced concepts

AscendanceUTC-5 (moving to UTC-4 soon at daylight savings)Sun/Tue/Thurs/Sat 3-10 PM // All other days 5-10 PMFounder of the first and second mentorship cycles, have mentored 6 people on an official level, with some help scattered throughout my time as a mapper in other ways.Anything but stuff that Razor Sharp maps (TL;DR no death metal or any of that crazy shit)Consistent, clean, focus on optimal HDash usage and effective use of antiflowInconsistency, probably. Sometimes I'm very unmotivated and don't feel like doing things on certain days. If you can work past that as a mentee, I think that I'm probably one of the most diverse mentors in terms of what I can teach, focusing more on how I can help you improve your own style rather than forcing my style on you. My previous mentees have become relatively successful, and after a short break as a mentor, I think that I can help another person (or people!) become successful as well.Discord, in-gameKinTier 1 or Tier 2

Benny-UTC+2Norwegian6-10pm in weekdays, more flexible during weekendsI mentored in cycle 3 and 4 in the mentorship program. I also, as a nominator, get a lot of questions from various different mappers and I try to help them as best as I can whenever this happens.I actually map a variety of music as long as it's above 140 bpm because anything below and it's super hard to place hyeperdashes. But I do enjoy FELT.I try to compliment the music with matching the jumps and dashing-patterns with the intensity of the song whilst still keeping a good flow throughout the whole map.I will be honest with my feedback and be very straightforward with what works and what doesn't. I will help the mentee improve their own style rather than enforce my own style onto them. The mentee will have a lot of freedom, I won't tell them what to do or when to do stuff but I will expect to see progress. The mentee will have to request lessons themselves where we can have longer discussions and feedbacks but I will always be open for questions and testplays whenever I'm online.whatever works, but i refuse to use skype.WishsTier 1

I'm more involved with Standard and Mania mapping/modding, so I'd work better with someone who has fundamentals in one of those modes.Discord, in-gameJeirYagtama

- Magic Bomb -UTC+1 (DST)Tuesday - Friday 6pm-11pm, Saturday and Sunday 1pm-11pmTaught every cycle except the last two.Slow piano, breakcore, screamo, kpop, and pop punkMore antiflow than most people. HDashes are generally at the minimum distance to make them, and dashes are generally bigger to ensure players recognise them. Distance consistency is important to me also.Knowledge of how to improve their current mapping style, either through adjustments to make it more interesting to play (Through avoiding repetition and such), or making it follow the music more through other techniques, but making sure to keep their style throughout the teaching, even if it's not a style I personally enjoy.DiscordHwa Yang

Received mentoring in osu!standard mapping from Syph. I often help new mappers that PM me in-game with mapping-related questions. Japanese Pop, Video game OSTsHeavy emphasis on aesthetics, using a more precise mapping style based on formulaic angle / slider / note usage and placement.I'm always open to seeing / playing different mapping styles! My goal isn't to turn someone into me; it's to help new mappers develop their knowledge of the fundamentals that go into making a strong beatmap, so that they can apply those skills into generating their own style.Discord, in-game private messaging, and forum private messaging are all viable.osuskrub
