6 | prejudice | When you judge someone based on their race, religion, sex, etc. before bothering to get to know them. |
7 | Muslim | A religion primarily in the middle east (also called Islam) which in this country are often the victims of bias. |
8 | merit | When someone is judged by their actual skills and knowledge. |
9 | sexism | When a person is judged because they are male or female. |
10 | racism | When a person is judged because of their race. |
11 | activism | When someone, or a group, purposely takes action to try to solve a major, important problem. |
12 | protesters | When a group of people are against an idea, and purposely act against it. |
13 | demonstrators | People who believe in something important, and do something to show their beliefs (or important facts) to the world. |
14 | discredited | When something is proven wrong. |
15 | systemic | When something happens in a structured way in an entire country or community. |
16 | oppression | When a person or group of people is purposely kept below another group of people (worse jobs, less education, less opportunity, etc.) |
17 | strike | When workers refuse to work to try to get better working conditions. (Long Term) |
18 | walk out | When a group of people literally walk out of a location to make a point. |
19 | march | When a large group of people all walk together holding signs to spread their message. |
20 | boycott | When a group of people refuses to do something (shop somewhere, buy a product, use a service, etc.) to try to create change. |
