25
1) Base runner must return to base if ball is not hit.
26
2) In case of an overthrow, runner can only advance 1 base past the base going to at the time of the throw. Once the base is achieved the ball is dead. If a runner was headed into 3rd base, that runner will be awarded home. Minor Rec exception: no advance on a stolen base overthrow.
27
3) Base stealers advance only 1 base from the base they start steal from. May not advance on overthrow.
28
4) Runner may not advance from 3rd base on steal attempt of home. Achieving home plate only on play started by batted ball.
29
5) Plays at home plate must be thrown from original point of control of batted ball. Defensive player cannot run home to force or tag runner from original point of control. Catcher or other defensive player may tag or force runner at home after ball has been thrown from original point of control.
30
6) ALL REC DIVISIONS (except Tee Ball and Micro); NO NEW INNING to begin after 90 minutes; GAME OVER after 7 innings. There is not a "DROP DEAD" time rule. If home team is batting when time expires, and is leading the game; Game is over.
31
7) 1st half of season--Coach pitches 4, then tee is used until ball is hit. Batter cannot strike out. 2nd half of season--Player pitches 3, coach pitches 3. If batter does not hit coach's pitches, batter is struck out.
32
8) Infielders, 6 including catcher, NO CLOSER THAN pitcher (28') at start of batted ball. Outfielders must begin play from behind baselines.
33
9) Maximum of 6 players in infield including catcher. All others must start the play in outfield grass until ball is hit.
34
10) Coach inherits remaining strikes in count after 4 balls. Batter is struck out if does not hit coach's pitches. Coach must pitch from the rubber.
35
11) If a team is scheduled to play 3 games in one week (Sunday to Saturday), that team's pitchers will be limited to 30 outs per pitcher for that week.
36
12) Batted ball that hits coach while on field for "coach pitch" is a FOUL BALL. Dead ball, runners return to base they occupied at time of obstruction, provided the defensive player did not touch ball first. If defensive player touches batted ball first, ball is live.
37
13) Pitcher on rubber - Pitcher must become set with both feet touching the rubber (it could be heel and toe). The first step off the rubber must be toward the plate. "Crow hop" step is not allowed.
38
***Note) COURTESY RUNNER may be used for catcher only. Replacement shall be the LAST BATTED OUT for the team that is AT BAT. Catcher that was replaced must begin the next defensive 1/2 inning at that position. Injured runner may be replaced by the last batted out.
39
**Note) There is no penalty (automatic out), if a player leaves the game for any reason. The spot in the batting order is skipped.
