Student CouncilTom August Leadership/Service9th - 12th grade Elections in MayThe Student Council is DeForest High School’s student government. Members of the Student Council are elected in the spring for the following school year. Each grade level can have up to 1 Student Council representative for every 20 people in the class. A student does not need to be a member of the Student Council in order to help with a Student Council event. Members of the Student Council are responsible for planning and executing many of the events that happened at DeForest High School. These events include but are not limited to Homecoming, Veterans Day, school assemblies and pep rallies. The Student Council also acts as a liaison between the student body and the school Administration by taking concerns to the Administration Team and finding workable solutions. Members of the Student Council also have the opportunity to attend leadership conferences with other schools from across the state. Student council meetings are held during the activity period.
