OneNote organizes information into “Notebooks.” Notebooks have “Sections,” which have individual “Tabs,” which hold “Pages” (and “Subpages”). Note, teachers can organize these primary features as desired.

OneNote Classroom will set up a Notebook for each class with 3 default Sections: Collaboration Space, Content Library, and a Section for each individual student. *Students can't view each other's notebooks.
Collaboration Space - both teacher and students can view and contribute to this section.
Content Library - Only the teacher can add/delete content. Page is 'read-only for students.
Student notebooks - Can only be viewed and edited by individual student and teacher (Space for students to submit work and get teacher feedback)

Essentially any file can be added to the course Notebook: documents and .PDFs, images, audio, video, spreadsheets, links, etc. You can type directly onto the Notebook’s pages or use a stylus or mouse to 'write' on a page. The ability to write is particularly useful for showing work and scoring math problems.

Kahoot collects data from the class well. However it falls short with tracking the progress of individual students over time. Kahoot! is currently working on enhancing its reporting optionsTeachers need to install Goobric as a Chrome Extension. Doctopus is a Google Classroom "add on." In order to use a rubric, it must match the orientation needed (points horizontally in Row 1, categories vertically in Column A).-Though teachers can choose to moderate student comments through the FREE account, there is no way to make sure that students are not impersonating each other. If students create their own Padlet accounts using an email address, their names are automatically attached to their posts.

-The free account does not offer the content filtering option that is available with Padlet Backpack-
Only works on devices that support Chrome extensions.
For complete unlimited access, user needs to purchase 3 licenses (Record-$29/yr., Edit-$29/yr. and Submit-$49/yr.
*Prices listed reflect education discount For additional information, go to Screencastify Pricing.
Only works on devices that support Chrome extensions; once recorded, editing options are limited to trimming.

The Pro account will still show the Loom logo...which some teachers may not like. Ultimately, this is a screencast tool with the addition of your face. However, seeing YOU may go far in helping students to feel more connected and engage your students through remote learning.
The update time between devices can be uneven, and menus aren't especially intuitive. (Source:commonsense.org)

EASE OF USEGoogle Classroom is relatively easy to use. The super clean layout makes everything that you need to set up your classroom easy to find and use.
-Inviting students is easy with the invite code or via email.
-The platform provides users with a designated Google Drive to store classroom content/resources.
-Teachers can also create a static GoogleMeet link that they can display in the header of the page to make it easier for students to access live sessions.
VERY user friendly! If you can use Google Slides or MS PowerPoint this will be a breeze for you! Peardeck also offers a lot of free PD. Register for offerings at www.peardeck.com/learn-pear-deck

VERY user friendly. Creating a new lesson is much like creating a slideshow in MS PPT or Google Slides.

Flipgrid is fairly easy to use. Teachers can find support through accessing the Disco Library on the Flipgrid platform. It's great for finding Topics created by their partners and other teachers you can use on your own Grids! Teachers add Topics to their Favs to review and use on their own Grids later.

To find your favorite Topics, go to the Disco Library. Within the Featured Disco Playlists, you'll see a yellow button titled My Favs! Select that button and it will filter the list below to show you all of your favorites! (Source: Flipgrid Disco Library)
Edpuzzle is VERY easy to use. The platform provides tons of support on a variety of topics on its Tips and Tricks pageKahoot! is fairly easy to use. All you need is an email address to create a free account. Once logged in you can create your own Kahoot, or copy a shared game from their community and edit the game to suit your needs. These programs take a little adjusting-to, especially if you're not used to installing Google Chrome extensions but for teachers who want to score student work by rubric remotely, they are worth the learning curve.Padlet is super easy to use!
-Add posts with one click, copy-paste, or drag and drop
-Changes are autosaved
-Simple link sharing allows for quick collaboration

Screencastify is fairly easy to use but it does require practice. This is because you may be scrolling around for a bit before you remember where the annotation tools are and how to best utilize them in your screencasts.

Educators are given a ton of support in the form of webinars, courses and ebooks on thei
r Classroom Resources page.
Overall, Loom is fairly intuitive, perhaps because it's functions are somewhat limited. Paired with another online tool, like Kami (a text-annotating tool), teachers can get more mileage out of Loom!OneNote is not exactly the easiest app to master. However, there is no shortage of tutorial videos that cover a wide variety of topics and common tasks that teachers need to complete. Visit OneNote for Education for support.
