6/3/2019 20:31:28Scott Ellsworth ElkSchool Board Director NoI believe that humans are affecting the environment in certain ways, but not to the extreme that is being said. NoThroughout history its common knowledge that the earth has cooled and warmed over time. To believe that over the last few hundred years that vehicle emissions and the burning of fossil fuels have cause so much damage in such a short amount of time is impossible. No

6/3/2019 21:58:48Jay MolitorMillwoodCity CouncilYesGlobal warming is a REAL problem and something that must be dealt with world wide. For our Government to claim it's not a problem is sending the wrong message to people here in the United States and around the world. The Paris agreement is a great start and for the U.S. to withdraw is ridiculous!YesYes

6/3/2019 22:41:59Debra LongSpokane ValleyCentral Valley School Board Director #3YesGlobal warming is happening. All one has to do is look at our glaciers and lakes around the world as they disappear. Temperatures are rising, storms and floods are more viscous today than ever before.YesYesI am concerned about global warming and the effect it has on our every day lives. It is my understanding that that driving our cars causes combustion of tremendous amounts of fossil fuels and releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. We need to find ways to reduce carbon dioxide and better ways to make fuel.

6/4/2019 18:27:03Allan GainerCheneyCity Council Position #6YesGlobal changes have been happening since the dawn of our planet, 4.5 billion years, and it will continue on until the day our planet dies out. We should always be aware of it and adapt to the changes like we always do.NoGlobal climate changes are mainly caused by our Sun, movement of our planet and the geological activities in our Earth. Human activities plays a very small role in it, and I would like to see better ways of generating energy like we have been doing the past 40 years. I believe we should encourage companies to create products in reflection to the betterment of our environment through positive incentives and not mandates. NoI have seen global changes in the last 57 years of my life and know it is happening, but we as humans have adapted very well. I was told when I was 12 in the 70's that we would run out of oil by year 2000 and that it came from dinosaurs. We know this isn't true. I don't hear anything about our Ozone layer like we were told it was going to be gone by 2010. Based on my observation, I see we will come out alright in centuries to come. Again, I think we should strive for better ways for power and I am a big proponent on nuclear energy and space exploration. When I was Cheney Mayor a few years back, I created Cheney as a Tree City USA and support our tree growth program in our city.

6/12/2019 19:14:25Debra LongSpokane Valley, WACentral Valley School Board Director #3YesGlobal warming is real. All one has to do is to look at our climate system and how it has changed. Hurricane, tornados, and our winter being so different than ever before. I don't know if you have ever traveled to Alaska but the glaciers are disappearing right before our eyes. YesUnfortunately human have an effect on global warming. Much of it is from the carbon in the atmosphere from burning coal, oil and the gas we use in our cars. YesWe must do something about the global warming. We must insist on cleaner emission from our cars and power plants. We cannot avoid some level of warming but those we can we should insist on reducing emissions and learn to adapt.

6/17/2019 10:46:10Dg GarciaLiberty LakeCity Council Position 1YesThere is no mistaking the available facts – not only those which are available to us in print through research studies, but are evident by the depictions witness across the continent, that there is a definite change in the earth’s surface temperature directly harming our environment. YesThe release of carbon dioxide causes a significant amount of environmental damage to the atmosphere. It is unfortunate because the release of carbon dioxide occurs naturally. Take, for example, farming. Farming is a society's way of providing food for the planet, but agriculture is a significant player when it comes to carbon dioxide production. One way to decrease the effects and reduce the emission of carbon dioxide is for farmers to utilize what is called organic agriculture. Not every farmer believes that their farm process is related to an increase in emissions, but they are mistaken. However, the use of organic agriculture should be considered a game changer when it comes to climate change/global warming. YesThe signs are apparent to most. However, there are ways that each of us can contribute to changing the direction, minimizing, or eliminating the effects of carbon dioxide on the planet. We must continue to stay apprised of what the research and the visible effects of the impact on our environment are signaling to us. We must continue to stay educated and informed. Doing nothing should not be an option. Going slow should not be considered or continued. Waiting to see what happens next could be the great undoing of our world's environment as we know it, even now.

Climate is not weather.NoThis is a political religion. The sun, oceans, tilt, volcanoes et al are maybe the causes but remember weather is not climate.NoYou or I cannot do anything about it, be it cooling as before or warming. Nice PR when you changed it to "change" but you look like you didn't get the memo.
