See above for some details - we are told to use online learning but so far little direction provided for precise links and courses
Working from home
Provided a link on setting up the home office, link to ergonomic considerations, a reporting mechanism for tracking hours promised but not yet provided, we were told software had been purchased to provide e-reference and online staff meetings - I have not seen any of this yet
Laid off / will apply for EIno programming from what I can see - all pre-crisis programming is still listed online with the word cancelled written in front with bright red lettering - there is supposed to be a email and telephone reference service but the website and app have no info about this -
Limits on Hoopla are extended - don't see any other change
All branches are closed to the public - drop boxes sealed - due dates extended til April 30. From the info standpoint the response is non-existent. There are no notices on the webpage or app. There is a link to the City's COVID info page in small type at the bottom of each page on the library website whether it is accessed on desktop or phone. I've yet to see anything on the MPL app on COVID-19. Normal operating hours are still listed with no closure info on all online service points! I suppose people know by now but it would be safer to actually spell it out prominently
Not much that I can find
Have to get back to you. I have not been told anything
Same as above
I heard of a phone reference service but there is no info at this time available about this. There is a voicemail message on the library's main call in line explaining the building closures and extended due dates. If a caller waits after the voicemail finishes the system transfers to an admin staff extension which states that the library is re-opening on April 5. This could be misleading if someone believes it and takes a needless trip out.
