The Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) program will provide Hawaii the means to refine its comprehensive literacy program to better enable HIDOE to fulfill the five promises and develop literate leaders and citizens. To fully execute Year 1 of the CLSD grant for Campbell/Kapolei
Goals:
*Create a timeline and establish all contracts for complex wide professional learning
*All Elementary schools will have an individualized plan for foundational reading with materials purchased and contracts established.
*Family engagement: Develop a family empowerment network group
*Establish and pilot a system for bringing culturally relevant text in the students' communities.
*Establish opportunities for tutoring and enrichment outside of the traditional school day.
