14 | How to avail the airport upgrade? | How to read this? | ||||
15 | 1. Buy your ticket as usual (normal seat selection, adding frequent flyer number, and self/city/phone check-in are still allowed). | 1. Check the desired route on the first column. | ||||
16 | 2. Check the upgraded class availability and seat type before reaching the airport (use Product overview sheet to help) | 2. Match your ticket's subclass with the subclasses above. | ||||
17 | 3. Go to the cashier or airport ticketing office and request for airport upgrade. | 3. Find the price and currency. | ||||
18 | 4. Pay the upgrade surcharge as requested - card and cash are usually accepted. | |||||
19 | 5. The cashier will issue an EMD for you to get the upgraded class - bring it to the upgraded class check-in counter and do your check-in. | |||||

22 | What do I need to know? | |||||
23 | 1. Airport upgrade surcharge is for one-way and in addition to the normal ticket price. | |||||
24 | 2. In some cases, it may be cheaper to buy business class outright or try the upgrade bid (branded as BidUpgrade) beforehand. | |||||
25 | 3. VAT is already included for domestic flights upgrade surcharge list here (VAT not included in the original documents). | |||||
26 | 4. Unless otherwise stated, the domestic flight upgrade surcharge is the same for both ways (e.g. CGK-LOP surcharge is the same as LOP-CGK). | |||||
27 | 5. On international flights surcharges may significantly differ when purchasing the upgrade for ex-Indonesia or to Indonesia flight. | |||||
28 | 6. Upgrade is only applicable for going up one class (i.e. upgrade from economy to first is not allowed). | |||||
29 | 7. Your segment and mileage accrual as well as luggage allowance will follow the original booking class. | |||||
30 | 8. Airport upgrades to first class exclude airport transfer, additional request will be charged USD100. | |||||
