This workbook accompanies Trulia’s analysis of the most attractive school districts:

“School District” includes all unified and elementary school districts in the country, as reported by the U. S. Census.

“Ratio of 5-9 Year-Olds 0-4 Year-Olds” is the number 5-to-9 year-olds divided by the number of 0-to-4 year-olds living in the school district, as reported in the 2010 Census of Population.

“Population Ages 0-9” is the total number of 0-to-9 year-olds in the school district. In the blogpost, we include in our rankings only districts with at least 1,000 0-to-9 year-olds, but all districts are included in this workbook.

“County or Equivalent” is the county, borough, parish, or other county equivalent where the district is located.
