| Select "File" > "Make a copy..." in the top left to save this to your Google Drive so you can edit it for your game! |
| Times of day other than Morning are updated automatically to correspond with encounters in Morning! Since you're usually only swapping out one or two encounters instead of the entire list, that will help you to get started. (However, once you change an encounter slot, it will stop updating so you don't need to keep redoing changes!) |
| Tip: if you change the formatting and want it to match, copy the entire Morning sheet and select "Paste special" > "Paste format only" on the other two! |
| Formatting unfortunately doesn't change on its own, but if you're changing it often (such as whiting out encounter methods you aren't using in a given area, which I've been doing to make it less confusing to look at and to remind myself where I do and don't need to put encounters I haven't placed yet), you should do that to make it so you don't need to manually update the others. |
| By default, this sheet contains 50 blank areas with encounters, with the first one annotated! If you still need more space, you can add it for yourself by adding new rows to the bottom and copyng and pasting an existing area - just be aware that you will have to do this on every sheet, not just Morning. |
| As a minor piece of advice if you're making a Fakemon game: in some regions, the first Route contains exclusively new Pokémon and has no Trainers, and the second route has Trainers but still contains exclusively new Pokémon. This is a helpful way to introduce players to your Fakemon and encourage using them! Even so, not every game does this (if you exclude Generation I, there's a 50/50 split) - it's not an obligation, just a tactic Game Freak uses sometimes that might be good to keep in mind! |
