She currently sits on the National Faculty of the Buck Institute for Education, which enables her to share her passion for PBL with teachers across the country. Shayla is the CEO and founder of RemixEducation, a non-profit organization that has provided more than 100 students in Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, and Washington, D.C. with positive youth development programming. Shayla received her bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, and received a master's degree in Teaching from Duke University in North Carolina.
