Jewish Family & Children ServicesSummer2022 program status TBDInternship https://www.jfcs.org/find-help/youth/internships/summer-internship-program/JFCS offers six-week summer internships to qualified students entering grade 10, 11, and 12 in the fall. Our internship program is a great opportunity for teens to learn valuable on-the-job skills and gain real work experience. Teens receive a generous stipend at the end of the program.

Teens are placed at one worksite for the summer, where they are assigned an on-site supervisor. They spend 20 hours/week within one of JFCS’ offices (San Francisco, San Mateo, Palo Alto, and San Rafael) or with businesses and organizations in the community.

A core element of the program is weekly workshops that provide professional and personal development for the teens. During these workshops teens are encouraged to think about themselves, their futures, and their place in the world through a Jewish values-based lens.

After participating in the program, teen interns come away with greater clarity about their academic and vocational options and opportunities, and feel better prepared to take the next steps they need to achieve their academic and career goals. Teens also benefit from a sense of personal achievement, greater responsibility, and increased confidence.
