3/19/2015 20:08:04YesYesYesWe will certainly be working on Author's Purpose. The clue words and ideas to do at home are very helpful. I need to figure out how to get my child to slow down. I tell him until I am blue in the face but it just doesn't seem to work. He can answer these questions when I verbally go over them with him while we are reading but he takes the test and then rushes through everything. Anything to help with slowing him down would be amazing! It would be incredibly helpful to see sample SOL's with reading passages. Maybe a mini test. It would be helpful to have more opportunities to see if I, as a parent can actually identify the "best" choice.

I plan to ask a lot more questions that I have previously done. I also like the idea of asking questions about daily life instead of just asking questions based on the reading (like asking what we didn't do today.
Everything. Love the tips. The reading one was even more helpful than the math one. It is really nice to be able to see what Isabel is doing in school so that I can help her.

I love being able to actually work through examples (even though I didn't remember what a simple predicate is)
