Some adjectives - as listed in Column A - are re-used for multiple modification types.

At lower levels, modifications boost 1 or 2 stats, while are higher levels they can boost 2 or 3 stats. (As shown in Columns O-AA)

Character Level Increment (Row 4) shows the number of levels you must gain in order for the next modification to become usable. For example, every 8 levels opens up a new Color Crystal while every 2 levels opens a Hilt level.

In the aggregate, each level of modification boosts stats equally. For example, a (Blue) Might Hilt 7 is +11 Strength and +7 Endurance for a total of +18 and a (Blue) Resolve Hilt 7 is +11 Willpower and +7 Endurance also for a total of +18.

Building on the above, at any given level (Blue) modifications are roughly 20% better than (Green) modifications and (Purple) modifications are 15% better than (Blue) modifications. Thus, (Purple) is roughly 38% better than (Green).

Considering new Color Crystals are only unlocked every 8 levels while new Hilts, Barrels & Armorings are unlocked every 2 levels, you should prioritize getting (Blue) and/or (Purple) Color Crystals before (Blue) and/or (Purple) Hilts, Barrels & Armorings.

Color Crystals affect either Endurance or Critical. Each type is available in numerous colors, including: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange and more.

There are two tiers of for most modifications; the second tier has greater variety. The second tier is usable once your character reaches level 33.

Exceptions to the above include Color Crystals and Enhancements, which have one and four tiers respectively.
