Note much lower km to get to max speed when the max is lower - hence less benefit from express vs all-stops services, especially for destinations like Canberra that are earlier in the route (when only a couple of prior stations have slowed you down).

NB. Start 0km at Parramatta assuming a new fast metro links Sydney CBD to there, so it will be a long time if ever before any VHST/Hyperloop extension goes to Sydney CBD.

TGV gives huge benefits to Cambelltown & Canberra - good for development & potential value-capture (& Sydney housing affordability).
29
Savings from limited stops services not worth it for TGV & Maglev - better to run regular, high frequency all-stops (especially given maglev switches could be very difficult; & in practice you wouldn't skip Liverpool).
30
Maglev only gives worthwhile benefit over TGV for Syd-Melbourne (although TGV could go faster), but still about the same as flying (normal TGV speed is much slower than flying) - so it may not be worth the cost of going beyond Canberra with TGV/Maglev.
31
Hyperloop needs off-line stations (& hence switches) to get the most of its higher speed benefit.
32
Start with a test track at Badgerys Creek then extend to Campbelltown (avoids difficult urban areas) then along Hume Highway to Canberra, initially excluding Bowral until an off-line station using proven switches is built.
33
Also start with single pods every 10 minutes, then develop up to 4-pod trains every 6 minutes (separation just > braking distance).
34
NB. For a freight connection, Badgerys Creek is 7km to M7 & total 20km to Moorebank Intermodal.
