Exit bus @ 19th Ave. & Holloway, meet on SFSU campus corner @ 10:00. Hike this loop of about 6 mostly level miles around lake, enjoy birds, flowers & views, on pavement/gravel trails. Lunch @ Boathouse. Return by bus & BART.

We will walk mostly on city streets, but also through some parks and Berkeley paths up to the Berkeley Rose Garden where we will have lunch. There will be an optional loop that will go up several stair steps. Approximately 5 miles with 500 ft elevation gain.

Sidewalks & some narrow paths alongside traffic until we get to Montclair Park for lunch. Then walk on level dirt trail under trees. Return to Montclair to board #33 AC Transit bus to downtown Oakland.

Sr. Clipper $6, Adult Clipper $6.50, Adult $12. Restrooms in Bldg, on ferry & along the way. Hike gradually up from Sausalito! A couple spots to get your cardio going. Bring lunch for the Vista Point. Hike to Presidio Transit Center, 7 mi. 500' elevation gain. NO SHADE! Dress for HOT/COLD/FOG!

Walk approx.4.2 miles on streets, paved/unpaved trails, stairways, one steep incline up Tank Hill - total elevation gain approx.700 ft. Sticks if you use them. Rain cancels. Bring bag lunch to eat on benches outside Aldea Community Center. Return Muni N (Carl & Cole) to Civic Center BART.

We will walk east to International Blvd. and 34th Ave. to view the stained glass windows of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. From there we will walk to 29th Ave. for a tour of the Cohen-Bray House, a wedding gift from Julia Moses and Watson E. Bray to their daughter, Emma Bray, at her marriage to Alfred H. Cohen in 1884. There is a $5.00 fee for the tour. Lunch will be at Josie de la Cruz Park. Return to Fruitvale BART passing the Peralta Hacienda and walk along Peralta Creek. Approx. 5 mostly flat miles.

If driving, meet at 10:30 in parking lot near intersection of Melville Square and Esplanade Drive off of Regatta Blvd. Hike 5 miles on paved trail along Meeker Tidal Creek, Meeker Slough, Stege Marsh, Richmond Marina Bay, and Inner Harbour Basin. Lunch at Shimada Peace Park (picnic tables, no shade). Restrooms at start, lunch, and end of hike.

Exit just prior to La Vista Ave. on Clayton Rd. Turn right on La Vista and walk 4 blocks to Markham Nature Park staging area. Drivers can park in parking lot at Markham. Walk in gardens at Markham, then continue to Newhall Community Park for lunch. Mostly level trails w/ one moderate hill. Sticks optional. About 5 miles, not a loop. Option to shorten hike after lunch. Shuttle back to BART.
