Nancy Boyd Memorial Park/Mt. Wanda, Martinez
4.2700' gain9:30 meet at Pleasant Hill Bart station, where cars are needed to drive to Nancy Boyd Memorial Park on Church Street and Pleasant Hill Road East in Martinez. Meet at the park at 10:00. Hike residential streets, then single track trail to the top of Mt. Wanda, lunch there, then fire road down. Loop of 4.2 miles with 700' of elevation gain. Sticks useful. Restrooms at start and end of the hike. Heavy rain cancels, light rain OK. Riders and drivers must email obarbtravels@gmail.com or call Barbara Wightman (916-769-1323) or Suresh Gadad (925-785-4481).

10:05 Board AC Transit bus #99 (Union City BART), exit Mission Blvd. & Whipple. Hike 4.5 miles 400' elev gain thru trees & wildflowers. Lunch & restrooms @ barn. Return on AC Transit bus #99 on Mission Blvd. to go to South Hayward BART. Not a loop. Heavy rain cancels, light rain okay.

4/19Mike BranningNoël SiverWILDCAT MARSH/GARBAGE MOUNTAIN5flat9:30 meet at Del Norte BART where cars are needed to go to Wildcat Creek staging area by 10:00 a.m. Wildcat Marsh is at mouth of Wildcat Creek and around Garbage Mountain (the now closed Richmond dump) in North Richmond. Hike consists of flat trails lovingly called "the landfill loop." About 5 miles. Weather permitting, we will have good bay views and see many shore birds and wildflowers. Drivers and riders please call Mike before 6 p.m. Wed., 4/18.

5671' gain9:30 Board N Trolley on Muni platform (Embarcadero BART), exit Steiner @ Duboce Park. Walk 5 mi on this strenuous hike w/671 ft. elev. gain on sidewalks & dirt trails thru Eureka Valley up/down Kite & Tank hills, Mt. Olympus & Corona Hts. w/many 360 degree views, see beautiful homes. Restrooms only @ start & end of hike. Steep steps & trail; sticks useful. Return on N trolley & BART.
