To cultivate an anti-oppressive space, in line with the 8th Principle, “we covenant to affirm and promote journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse, multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other forms of oppression in ourselves and our institutions.” We expect all members and guests to respect the safety and well-being of others, honoring differences in race, ethnicity, ability, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, culture, class, spirituality, and religion. HikeIn-PersonRock Creek Park HikeMonday, October 1111:30 AMJustine Rothbart (justine.rothbart@gmail.com)4Let's go on a hike in Rock Creek Park! We'll meet at Peirce Mill on Monday, October 11th at 11:30am. Peirce Mill is a 15 min walk from the Van Ness metro station or a 20 min walk from the Cleveland Park metro station - and there's also parking available nearby. We'll go on a hike for about one to two hours, depending on group interest. Please sign-up on the spreadsheet, so we know how many people to expect. Everyone who comes on the hike must be fully vaccinated. If you're new to Young Souls, this is a great way to meet others in-person. And if you've been in Young Souls for awhile, this is a great opportunity to reconnect with Young Souls friends again in-person. It's Indigenous Peoples' Day, so let's honor the history of Native Americans in Rock Creek Park by taking some time in advance to read more about the history (you can start by checking out this page on the National Park Service website). Potluck dinnerIn-Person (inside)Circus Murder Mystery Potluck Dinner & Cookie Decorating Saturday, October 236:30 PMZachary Morrice (zachmorrice@gmaill.com)8Do you love mysteries and games? Celebrate the Halloween season by joining me for a fun-filled murder mystery dinner party where you determine who killed one of the barnum brothers. This is a potluck dinner where you will bring a dish, drink, or appetizer. There will also be halloween cookie decorating.Proof of Vaccine Required.43 K Street NW, Washington DC, 20001 (close to Chinatown or NoMA metro stations) Beneath the cheerful exteriors that is the circus some issues that have been suppressed for too long finally came to light and several heated arguments took place. With affairs and scandals that have been kept secret being brought to the surface now everyone suddenly seems mad at the Burnum brothers.

When one of them turns up dead, suspended from his own knife throwing board no one seems that surprised. But who killed him? Were they aiming for him or his brother the ring master? It’s up to you to find out.
