Group InfoJust started - first plans are to focus on blogs, ipads and VLE (Frog) We are interested in Edmodo, Open Badges and working with other DLsStarted with student survey about ict use in school and staff confidence with tech. already in the school. Now developed into 4 project teams and looking at structured approach: 1) PR and blogging 2) E-safety 3) Coding and 4) IWB training team with possible developments with school Mac suite and TV studio to develop teams skill base. Bi annual application round to be DL. Until then serve as a Digital Explorer.Started with students working with staff and supporting them with ICT skills and tools that DLs wanted to use along with what staff wanted to learn. Alongside this, the DLs came to sessions to learn new hints/tools/tips/extras from me. Now we have DLs doing all sorts of work from what was originally envisaged to running training events, primary and parent training sessions, talking at big teaching & learning events such as TeachMeet Clevedon and Apple Leadership Summits. Students also create screencasts and bespoke training and are developing resources to go on to the iPad learning site iclevedon.co.uk. Students also contribute to the fortnightly newsletter, they review apps, support other students and generally raising the profile of technology and learning across the school. Students also run genius bar sessions to support students and staff with their use of iPads. One of our DLs is just wrapping up his first bespoke iPad app he's written in xCode which is going to be released on the App Store. I'm sure there's more but I think that's enough for now.We started out in the Summer of 2011 with a programme to develop digital leaders at Lady Lumley’s School, to develop opportunities like Sports Leaders and DoE, but with a focus on involving students to help develop technology to improve learning in our school. We are not a high tech school and probably cannot afford to be in the future. However, technology is all around us and we need students and teachers to work together to use where it can make a difference. just started in sept, recruited in july. initial focus is raising profile of ict and computing in the school and the diital leaders. have made a website, logo and a promo video for GCSE Computing. see my blog for current/previous projects. Will be leaving school in Sept 2013, so don't know what will happen to DL's thenJust started: will start with edmodo, esafety, setting up our blog. Would love to work with other DLs. Welsh-medium school. We started in 2010. They are involved in doing some training in their classes, they offer technical help to other students and their teachers and help to promote good use of technology in the classroom. They have done presentations for the whole staff and a range of visitors. We will love to contact other digital leaders in the UK to share experiences.4 DLs per class to help with 1:1 iPad programme. 5 iGenius members in each year group - lead DLs. Run Genius bar each lunchtime. Trial apps, find apps, train teachers and students.Edmodo group etcStarted in September this year with recruitment and beginning to get them to grips with being a digital leader. Pupils have already presented a lesson to their classes, helped support staff on a one-to-one basis, ran lunchtime clubs and run a training session for support staff.Initially researching and using apps within lessons responsible for training staff on using iPads effectively within lesson. Tweeting from @PCSADigiLeaders. Speaking on the BrainPop UK stand at BETT on Thursday 31st January. Encouraging peers to BYOD. Already worked with IT Tech to allow BYOD on WiFi.Just started. Students working on software, making blogs, creating tutorials on software to teach teachers, investigating software and learning about Leadership. Will be learning Moodle to support staff and going into primary schools to work with students and staff. Will investigate IPads once wifi embedded across school.Launching at end of March with students to be in place in Summer Term. Will update once DLs are in placeJust launched enrichment to do it in for senior school.DLs are going to support IT across the school ranging from speaking at Open Evening to supporting G&T master classes. Their first project is to film and photograph various business visitors to the school to create a promotional video for the school.September programme to start and the first plans are to focus on an iTea grandparent event for AgeUK. Students will also create screencasts using ExplainEverything App in how they use the moodle system for homework, and Digital Blue app for revision planned for before end Autumn term. Interested in working with other DLsLaunched as an enrichment for the students of the school to help improve their ICT skills. Even though the numbers are low this year, they will increase a lot in September, with a list of new aims/ideas to bring to the groupFocus on exploring new software and technologies to accompany the new Computing Curriculum at KS3. Also to add support to the school web page.Launched as after school club for anyone with a passion for ICT/web2.0. Widened out to incorporate pupils who wanted to learn to blog and to help teachers launch class blogs. We have just rolled out iPad Minis to all students in the school. From next week we will start the application process for Digital Leaders. Initial remit will be broadly: - Run the iGenius bar at break (start Mon / Weds / Fri and build up)
- Review and recommend resources to support learning
