Database Overview

This database documents information about Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) that have expressed interest developing partnerships with researchers to study adoption, implementation and sustainment of evidence-based practices (EBPs) within their organizations. This work is part of a CCBHC Implementation Science Pilot initiative between the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).

The database contains information about the CCBHCs (e.g., geographic location, focus area) as well as their statements about practice-relevant challenges that could be overcome through further collaboration and research. It is intended to be used by researchers who are looking to offer their expertise and help CCBHCs address challenges related to the delivery of best practices and CCBHCs who are interested in connecting with researchers or other CCBHCs in research partnerships.

Guidance: Filtering Database Information

CCBHC Organization (Column A)Organization who has received SAMHSA CCBHC grant and is looking to implement implementation science research.You can filter database entries by area of focus, project status, location and/or any other field. To do so:

State (Column B)State the CCBHC is currently operating in.1. When in the "Pilot Project List" tab: Select the filter icon from the database tool (as pictured below). When you click the icon, a drop down will appear. Select "Create temporary new filter view."

Project Status (Column C)Status of whether the CCBHC is currently looking for a research partner or already has one.

Research Partner Organization (Column D)Indicated for those who have a research partner.2. A temporary filter toolbar will appear across the top of the database spreadsheet and the title cell in each column will now have a "filter carrot" in it's bottom right corner. When you click on the filter carrot, you will get multiple filter options as well as the ability to scroll through all column categories and only select those you want to view (as pictured below).

Area of Focus (Columns E-F)Area of focus columns are intended to organize individual projects into categories that can be filtered by researchers or other potential partners.

Research Questions/Focus (G)This column briefly summarizes the research questions or early concepts the CCBHC is hoping to shape and explore with a research partner.

Research Objectives (Column H)This column briefly summarizes the CCBHC's objectives for their implementation science research project. It is important to note that many CCBHC participants are open to working collaborative with researchers to refine their projects and objectives.

Other (Column I)This column includes any other relevant information the CCBHC would like potential partners to be aware of.

Point of Contact (Columns J-M)These columns include names and contact information for relevant points of contact at CCBHC organizations. Potential partners can use this contact information to outreach to CCBHCs to further discuss their projects.
