IMPORTANT NOTES:

1)Associated sample and collection data must be entered into columns A-Y of the BenthicResults tab (in order to link data in the database).

2)Use columns Z-BB to enter lab effort and taxonomic result data for the following data types:
Freshwater Benthic Macroinvertebrate (BMI), Soft-bodied Algae (macroalgae, microalgae, epiphytes), Diatom, and/or Marine Invertebrates.

3)In the BenthicResults tab, records entered into the Lab Effort section must be repeated for taxonomy data associated with each sample.

4)Use the blue tab "Organism_DetailLookUp" to document new organism codes associated with this dataset (i.e. codes that do not already exist in the SWAMP Organism LookUp list).
NOTE: New organism codes MUST FIRST undergo the "Harmonization" review process (in coordination with the CSU, San Marcos Algae Laboratory) prior to being added to the LookUp list. For assistance, contact Candice Levesque (SWAMP IQ Algae QA/Data Manager, candice.levesque@waterboards.ca.gov) or the OIMA/SWAMP IQ Center HelpDesk (OIMA-Helpdesk@waterboards.ca.gov).

5)Use the grey "LookUp" tabs to request new LookUp vocabulary used in this template (i.e. codes that do not already exist in the corresponding SWAMP LookUp list).
NOTE: If requesting new vocabulary (other than FinalIDs in the blue OrganismLookUp tab), please contact your SWAMP Regional Liaison or OIMA-Helpdesk@waterboards.ca.gov prior to submitting results data through the Online Data Checker to better facilitate the data verification/loading process.
