EL 101: Foundations and Strategies
This is an IN-PERSON session that's a perfect fit for those that would like to connect with others working with ELs and to explore the new guidance from WIDA and leading contributors. The day includes information directly from the 2020 WIDA ELD Standards Framework including Key Language Uses, Language Expectations, and proficiency level descriptors. On the other hand, we also understand that WIDA doesn't offer a complete, practical picture for an EL instructor so a copy of "The ESL/ELL Teacher's Survival Guide" (Ferlazzo, Sypnieski) will be provided to participants with the other half of the day exploring practical strategies and support.Southern Indiana Education Center
