A crowd-sourced spreadsheet where College Confidential parents share where their students applied for Tuition Exchange, what happened, and their stats, so next year's families can gauge their chances.

⚠ TWO THINGS WE NEED FROM EVERYONE

1. ENTER YOUR CC USERNAME at the top of your column. Without it, nobody can tell whose results are whose, and the column can't be followed up on or credited to you.

2. COME BACK AND UPDATE YOUR RESULTS. Mark each school "TE Applied" when you apply, then change it to Awarded / Waitlisted / Rejected (etc.) when you hear back. A sheet full of "TE Applied" doesn't help anyone next year.

HOW TO ADD YOUR FAMILY (Fall 2027 tab)

Step 1Go to the Fall 2027 (Class of 2031) tab and find the first column whose header says "(open)". The yellow EXAMPLE column shows the format.

Step 2Type your CC username in the CC USERNAME row (row 4). One column per student; twins/siblings get their own columns.

Step 3Fill in class rank, GPA (UW / W), test scores, AP / IB / DE, and ECs & notes in rows 5–9 of your column.

Step 4Scroll to each school you applied to and choose "TE Applied" from the dropdown in your column.

Step 5When you hear back, change it to your result. Add any details (award amount, timing) to the school's OTHER INFO cell.

Step 6Please don't sort, insert or delete rows or columns. To sort or filter for yourself, use Data → Create filter view, which only changes your own view.

Step 7Don't see your school? Add it at the bottom of the list (school name + state) and use it as normal.

Step 8Know something new about a school (TE amount, % awarded, notification timing, stacking)? Update that school's row. See the note below.

📋 SCHOOL DETAILS WERE CARRIED OVER FROM PRIOR YEARS. Avg GPA, grad/retention rates, TE amount, TE %, notification dates, stacking and notes on the Fall 2027 tab came from earlier versions of this sheet and may be out of date. Please verify with each school's TE Liaison Officer and update the row as you learn more.

🔒 ONLY THE FALL 2027 TAB CAN BE EDITED. The Fall 2026, 2025, 2024 and 2023 tabs (and this page and Analysis) are locked so nobody accidentally adds results to the wrong year.

WHAT THE SCHOOL COLUMNS MEAN

TE AMOUNTFULL = full tuition if awarded. SET RATE = a fixed dollar amount toward tuition. OTHER = see the school's notes.

TE %The school's own estimate of the share of TE applicants it awards. These are often optimistic.

STACKINGFor SET RATE schools: can the school's own merit aid be added on top of TE? (Y / N / N/A)

NOTIFICATIONEarliest TE decision date reported by posters in a prior year. A rough guide to timing only.

OTHER INFOAnything learned along the way, such as typical number of applicants and awards.

FACHEX / CICOther tuition exchanges: FACHEX = Jesuit colleges; CIC = Council of Independent Colleges.
