My current interests include the critical need for audience development in the arts and helping organizations (both nonprofit and for profit) find their way successfully through the often difficult transitions that come with natural life cycles in organizations. Due to my background in marketing and web development, I've also served on several panels as a presenter in social media and marketing and am happy to continue serving as a resource in that area.

6/23/2015JodeeBockJodee@BocksOffice.comJodeeBock@JodeeBockwww.bocksoffice.com, www.invitetothewhite.comBusiness Development, Culture & PeopleConsulting, Education, Energy/Utilities, Healthcare, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Sports, Technology, TelecommunicationsUnderlying everything I speak about is the thread of personal accountability - although it's not often called that. That may be a little too threatening and heavy. So we talk about change and why people resist it. Or communication and why it's so difficult. Or leadership and what it really is. Each talk is customized to the desired outcome of the planner; but really, it's about what each of us can do to live our lives fully, without being victims, and stand in our greatness. My current platform is what I'm calling "Invite to the White" which is about taking responsibility for the communication in your life, whether at home or at work and, really, the possibility of integrating that so you're the same person both places.

6/18/2015EllieTaylorellieapplen@gmail.comhttps://www.linkedin.com/pub/ellie-taylor/0/8b2/957@etaylorclCommunications and PR, Culture & People, MarketingAdvertising, Consumer Products, SportsMy initial career years were spent helping to build the Red Bull brand which grew more than 600% during my tenure. We went from regional to national distribution during that time, launched a Major League Soccer team, signed our first mainstream athletes, bought an F1 team and a NASCAR team, and not only launched but defined the energy drink category. We excelled in targeted, guerilla marketing tactics as well large scale events and stunts as well as selective regional and national advertising initiatives. We also built true 360-degree plans that drove not only awareness, but trial. And produced massive amounts of content by engaging a community of brand evangelists.
Now, moving into an advertising agency, I have a unique perspective on the client side - I worked for, what was at the time, a burgeoning brand, built it with the use of quick turn content and marketing spectacles, and did so while focusing on balancing building a brand and making the quarter.

7/12/2015LauraBestlauracbest@gmail.comhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/lauracbest@lauracbesthttp://www.bestdigitalstrategy.com/opinions/Communications and PR, MarketingAdvertising, Consulting, Consumer ProductsI love helping to simplify the process of digital strategy..breaking it down so that people who are being asked to plan and execute amazing digital work can become confident about how to do just that. I have a focus area of content strategy, but also enjoy speaking about how to approach general digital planning.

For me, it's all about using the arsenal that you have to create amazing, productive experiences - so many marketers these days are overwhelmed about how to do just that.

I also am fascinated by evolving social business/behavior - I recently conducted research on "what makes people give to a Kickstarter campaign?" and love getting under the skin of what makes people act and how the world is changing because of that.

I have recently collaborated on a new book regarding content strategy and content management technology - due out in January 2016 via Apress. The book aims to demystify how content strategy and technology can work better together in the planning and development processes, so that teams can create better experiences.

6/17/2015AmandaZweerinkazweerink@gmail.comhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/amandazweerink@amandazeeCommunity & Social Enterprise, Communications and PR, Culture & People, MarketingAdvertising, Consumer Products, TechnologyI've split my career pretty evenly between working in marketing/ad/strategy agencies and leading product and marketing at startups. I have mentored many women on both sides to advocate for themselves, and have first-hand experience on how to change (and sometimes fail to change) perceptions about and treatment of women within organizations. My early tech experience was in community development and community building - true community building, not just social media - remains a passion. Because of this, I'm a big proponent of putting the consumer/user/real person at the heart of any project, and love to work with product teams to make that a reality.

artbuddies.orgCommunity & Social Enterprise, DesignAdvertising, Design, nonprofits, women's issuesMy presentation is about my career and life. I've given it to various creative groups, both locally, regionally and in New York.

I was the first female art director at two of Minneapolis' largest ad agencies, won the top awards in my field, started my own advertising/design business, and later founded a nonprofit, Art Buddies. http://www.artbuddies.org

My talk is first and foremost an authentic one ---- I describe both my successes and failures. Some of my stories are funny, some are serious. I show what it was like to be a woman in the Mad Men era, what happened after my ad agency burned down, and how much fun I had promoting creative people.

I tell how a failed romance led me to start my own business, and how a major illness inspired me to start Art Buddies, which helps kids in need by matching each child with their own creative mentor.

I end with lessons learned from my life, with hopes they will be helpful to the audience. A number of people have told me my story is inspiring to them, which makes me feel great, since I love to give back!

--------------------------

Sara Kosiorek has spent her professional career at the crossroads of communications & technology; and after two decades honing her talents, she’s what you'd call a virtuoso.

Her passion to find "a better way to do this" started long before she hit the post-college streets. However, it was her tenure in NYC that elevated her game by managing projects for Nickelodeon, MTV’s Rock the Vote Campaign, VH1’s Save the Music Foundation, and Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington Competition. In 1999, Sara left MTV Networks for the chance to participate in a joint effort between The Knot and NBC's Today Show called "Today Ties the Knot"— a series which married on-air programming with on-line voting and set the stage for the new era of media interactivity that we are all used to today.

After a successful stint on the East Coast, Sara returned to the Twin Cities to serve as Director of Programming for NBC’s online coverage of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. She then progressed to managing daily website operations for clients including CNN, NBC, Cox Television, Hearst-Argyle Television, McGraw-Hill Broadcasting, Meredith Broadcasting and Post-Newsweek.

Always learning, Sara is in the final stages of her Masters program at Harvard University, and spends her days at Periscope in Minneapolis: building great teams, improving processes, and creating impactful products and campaigns for some of the world’s most recognizable brands.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
With 90% of top performers having high EQ, it is imperative that you better understand what your EQ score is and how to develop an even higher one. This session will show how to understand, develop and conquer your emotional intelligence to get the role you want, hire the right people with high EQ, and to continue to develop your own EQ. We each have the power inside to change our EQ, you don’t want to risk the consequences of not developing your own.

How Strong is your Elevator Speech?
Whether you’re looking for a new role, selling a product or service or persuading someone to attend your event; your less than 3-minute elevator speech has to be creative, informative, persuasive and action oriented. This session will help you better understand what makes a powerful elevator speech and get you started on your own successful speech.

Dare to be an Effective Communicator
There are many types of communication, including nonverbal, written and oral. Many of us think we are pretty good at communicating, but why do most organizations get cited for bad communication. This session will help you understand the types of communication, ways to listen and use nonverbal signs to help you become an effective communicator.

Persuasion Isn’t Just for Sales
Persuasion is the single most important business leadership and personal skill. Without the skill of persuasion, leaders would be unable to lead; salespeople would be unable to sell. Persuasion is the key to success in every facet of life. Most people do not understand the key elements of persuasion and fewer still apply the process. Studies show that most people use a process that researchers label “a sure fire way to fail” persuasion. This discussion will help you to further understand what persuasion is, how the persuasion process works and why it is scientifically proven to be an effective sales tool.
