Goal #2) Community Service

Increase student community involvement through service projects

to allow students to learn through service to others and for the community to benefit positively
Our students, families, and staff generously continue to do various service projects with community partners such as Coats for Kids, Feeding Medina County, Food Drives, Peanut butter Drive, Help for Needy Families through the Salvation Army, Busy Bee Gardeners, Shop with a Cop, Race for the Cure, Yearly Charity Drive through United Way, Blanket Buddies, and many more as the need arises.Provide biannual opportunities for Jr. High and High School students to travel off campus to participate in a service project with a local organization such Feeding Medina County or Salvation Army.School Guidance Counselors in conjunction with student organizations like project care or student councilsFirst trip Spring of 2018. Build and increase a working and mutually supportive relationship between the schools and community businesses
to benefit both students and our local economy.

Form a local business and school communication network which will notify participating businesses and organizations if a need arises in the school. Ask local businesses to be a part of a communication network, so member businesses can be notified of the need and decide if they would like to help in some way in that particular instance. Recognize members of this partnership by announcing their help in social media, website, newsletter, and articles. If applicable, post signs in the building next to the donation. Create an alumni network

to communicate accomplishments, invite alumni to events, increase community goodwill, and ask for help with needs if necessary.

Each sports season, declare one varsity game as alumni game day. Invite alumni through paper and media to attend game for free. When arrive have them fill out card to be in drawing and get in. Give them orange wrist band. Give them free popcorn. Recognize alumni during game. Have a drawing of free Buckeye gear when they fill out their info cards. Develop and distribute a survey to solicit input from our families and our community

to allow community members easy access to voice ideas, concerns or questions about our schools.
