Physical DescriptionBackground

Fairly tall but lacking in muscle definition, Ken is probably what a lot of people would think of when asked to describe someone who would rather tinker with machines than get outside. When meeting Ken, most people would probably be instantly drawn to his cybernetic right leg, the result of an illness Ken contracted when he was 18. This particular illness resulted in pretty serious dystrophy of his right leg, requiring it to be surgically amputated. At around that time Ken was already experimenting with building small robots, so he decided to take his knowledge of that and adjust it into making a replacement leg for himself. While his is still fairly basic, (requiring daily maintenance) it gets the job done and has spurred Ken on to improve in his skillsKen's childhood wasn't much to write home about. he grew up the son of the owners of an electrical parts store, which was probably what sparked his fascination with technology. From the age of 11, he would convince his parents to let him borrow and parts that they didn't think would sell (due to being faulty in some way or simply outdated) and would try to see what he could cobble together. His earliest success was at 15 when he managed to build a pair of 2-way radios. After that, he focused primarily on robotics, researching all he could find in the field in order to make something useful. It wasn't until after his illness and the creation of his leg that he managed to make a small robot built with the purpose of performing small household chores such as sweeping and dusting.

During the creation of his leg, Ken also realised he would need to study medicine in order to fix the issue of his body potentially rejecting the new leg. Even though he knew that the doctor who agreed to the procedure had done similar in the past, he still wanted to make the process as risk-free as possible.

Ken tends to be aloof and withdrawn a lot ofthe time. This is usually interpreted by others as minor misanthropy, but in reality is just poor social skills and a mental wall being builty around that to try and hide signs of weakness
