Emergency financial help such as rental assistance, temporary lodging costs, home repairs, replacement of personal property, moving or storage expenses, cleaning, losses of personal medical equipment. The purpose of CAST is to help lower-income citizens of Waterbury & near surrounding area dealing with transitions or other difficult situations by providing financial help or food.

However, it is up to the city or town to decide whether to grant the request.For general info about Applying for an abatement see vtlawhelp.org/property-taxes. The Waterbury Board of Abatement has not met to discuss reduction in property taxes or delayed tax due dates for affected properties. However, individual residents can contact Karen at the town office to request tax abatement and find out about the process.

Realtors Relief FoundationVermonters who have been impacted by recent floods.Nat'l Association of Realtorshttps://www.vermontrealtors.com/RRF/Assistance is available to qualified applicants towards one of the following options: 1) Monthly mortgage expense for the primary residence that was damaged by the Flooding Disaster or; 2) Rental cost due to displacement from the primary residence resulting from the Flooding Disaster or; 3) Hotel reimbursement due to displacement from the primary residence resulting from the Flooding Disaster.RRF funds will be made available to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis to help with homeownership-related challenges. Successful applicants should receive RRF funding within four weeks.

Funding supports general rehabilitation and code compliance work. The program also funds flood mitigation upgrades and exterior façade improvements. In response to the July 2023 floods, projects seeking Flood Mitigation Credits will be prioritized for funding in January.Deadline- Monday, January 8, 2024. program guidelines and application which are also available to download from our website.
