This junction is the start and there is parking for several cars.

Note: After the blue Casa the track up to the start becomes very rough in places but is passable. If it proves too rough for your vehicle there are plenty of spots to pull off, park and walk the rest of the way to the start.

In the village, immediately opposite Hotel Serrella (on the RHS) turn L. After 20 m. turn L again into Calle Jose Antontio and them almost immediately L again down a ramp into the signed parking area.This is a walk on good tracks and paths. It starts fairly steeply uphill but after that it meanders gently up to the head of the valley with great views down to Castells. Our route passes Font de la Retura a very pleasant spot before crossing the CV752 to reach an interesting ruin which is bound to cause discussion. This is a short version of the recently created walk PR-CV445 around the hills above the village of Benidoleig. The walk has wonderful views down into the Orba valley and out to the coast. Along the route there are information boards identifying flora and fauna and historical landmarks. A couple of steep sections of path but the going is good and the walk will be taken at an easy pace allowing you to admire your surroundings. We will have a banana stop but will be back in the village by lunch time so no need for sandwiches. Cross the bridge and immediately turn R onto surfaced road and park (Walk ends here).759771E 4285706N. Alternatively, drive 200 meters to a bend A. Ample parking.A very pleasant walk in fairly level, upland “karst” type scenery, including an old mule path through a barranco, short stretches of track, and long improved goat paths among undulating hills with mountains in the background. A sharp climb to the saddle below Cau from where there is the opportunity of a short climb to its summit. Then continuing along short tracks and a long path down to the CV749 and car(s). The views are excellent and the wildflowers in spring and early summer fascinating. For those making a long day of it a visit to the Iris Garden in the middle of the walk is rewarding in April to June when it is at its best. (Opens April 1st). Drive along this road towards Val de Ebo, for approx 3.8km. ,passing Petracos, and find some lay byes on the RHS opposite the barranco.The walk starts with a vaguely marked ascent to Punta d'Alfaro followed by a long pleasant ridge walk and short climb to the summit of Alfaro.This high spot offers wonderful views of the Sierra Serrella before descending by old tracks which lead very steeply down to Barranco Malafi. Barranco Malafi is the grandiose and remote gully formed by the, generally dry, river Malafi. Superb wild flowers in spring and early summer.
