Striking insights: Welcome to Solidarity! Leeds UCU teach-out programme, September 2023

While staff are on strike, we offer education for free. As it is Welcome Week at University of Leeds, we hope to welcome you to the solidarity of being involved with unions and working together for positive change. All welcome!

Venue: Events currently taking place online apart from the Anti-cas / Equalities open meeting which is hybrid from the Quaker Meeting House, Woodhouse Lane. Choose your own platform and create a link to share here.

Themes: your teachouts do not have to match the theme of the day. The themes have been chosen to guide the rally speeches, so we hear different voices on different topics. We also are holding some workshops on these themes on those days, but your teach out can be at a time of your choice on a topic of your choice. That said, if the themes inspire you - go for it!

Timings: we have suggested not starting until 1300 so that people can get home from rallies to join online. You can put in a time of your choice although be mindful that audience may be split if your teachout is at the same time as another event!
