6 | 8/30/21 | California | California currently has a mask mandate in place for unvaccinated individuals in-line with CDC guidance. On July 26, 2021, California announced that all teachers and school employees, state employees and health care worker will be required to get the Covid-19 vaccine or get tested for Covid-19 on a regular basis. This policy went into effect for state employees on August 2, 2021, and will go into effect health care workers on August 9, 2021. As of August 20, 2021, San Francisco is requiring some indoor businesses - including restaurants, bars, gyms, clubs and entertainment venues - to obtain proof of vaccination from patrons and employees. Indoor venues holding large events with 1,000 or more people will require attendees ages 12 and up to provide proof of vaccination.
