These are items that are used to do or aid action. They are usually required to be held and manipulated as the user makes a test using the item. Unless specifically stated, the user's hands

must be free in order to use the tool. Some of the tools listed are noted as tomes or folios of information. It is possible that if one has a sufficiently advanced data-slate that these books can

be loaded onto the data-slate if an electronic document is found. These versions are considered Good quality and are thus more expensive and harder to find. However, a saavy Explorer can find

a way to do that on their own. With the electronic document on their data-slate, this reduces the overall weight the Explorer needs to carry to have a variety of books on hand, but does lose
6
some of the ostentation and ritual behind having the actual book in exchange for easier accessability.
