She holds a B.M. in Oboe from the University of Northern Iowa, where she studied under Heather Peyton, as well as a B.A. in Music History. She graduated in May 2023 from the Jacobs School of Music with a M.A. in Musicology. Kristin is equipped with a comprehensive understanding of music theory, history, and performance, allowing her to provide a well-rounded educational experience to her students. She has taught oboe to middle school and high school students, and her goal is to enhance their technical proficiency, foster their musicality, and instill a lifelong love and appreciation for the oboe. She has been crafting high-quality reeds for nearly a decade and strongly believes in the importance of tailoring reeds for student's faces. Ensuring not only the highest quality of sound but also that reeds will last for as long as possible. She is flexible in terms of availability.
